Presentation: Providing Mahi-a-Wairua in our communities
Lanne Jensen-Wade, trading as Indigenous Light Tapui Ltd, supports individuals, whānau, hapū iwi and the wider community across Aotearoa through Te Ao Māori in their holistic healing journey. The intention being to provide Wairua wānanga and work intensely with referred individuals, from pepi to kuia and koroua, through mirimiri and healing practises in Mahi-a-Wairua. Indigenous Light is committed to their vision for every whānau across the world to be engaged in healing.
To provide best practice we follow Tā Mason Durie’s Whare Tapawhā Model and our Framework based on Io Matua, Atua o Te Ao Māori, Tūpuna ma and kaitiaki ma coming together to support and provide healing.
Through Lanne’s background in Education and Māori Health she will support the HPSAANZ conference by talking through how what she does in Wairua and how this can impact on tamariki, hauora, and mental health and bringing the two together in the space you work in utilizing the Whare Tapawhā Model to showcase this. From a Wairua perspective, Lanne will share ideas and strategies that can be implemented to assist the healing of others, and for individuals’ and their self-care in their chosen field. This will include simple tips for example Ōrongo (meditation), grounding using our natural elements and other mindfulness activities.
